Owners Cinnamon and Jamieson are just as crazy good as their food. Fun-loving and charismatic, their goal was to provide us with food created from the love of cooking. Serving up food for the soul made from scratch, made with love, and butter. Lots of butter. The menu reads like an adjective thesaurus; “brined overnight”, “mom’s recipe”, “handmade”, “mouthwatering”, and “hand-crushed” pepper the descriptions.
Located in Bellingham’s tall Herald Building at 1155 N State Street in Downtown Bellingham, a line forms out the door most mornings and evenings. They close for a siesta 3pm to 5pm, daily. Anyone who has ever owned a restaurant will tell you this is a very smart move.
Dinner gets a little grown-up; think “date night” with candle-light, cold beers on tap, and a small yet tasty wine selection. The Three B burger will forever live in my “one of the best things I’ve ever tasted” list. A meatloaf style patty, crispy bacon, bleu cheese smothered in blueberry onion jam swirl in your mouth to create a wonderful palette. The Kale salad is another favorite. A huge pile of chewy faro with kale, pickled carrots and fennel, avocado, toasted sunflower seeds with a creamy green garlic dressing. Delicious.
